Hitting the ground running with Fiji Start-up options

Once you open Fiji, you want a certain set of tools to open immediately without having to summon them one by one? Something I use in nearly every session are: Brightness & Contrast tool, Channels tool, Macro recorder. There is a solution that ca make life much easier. Go to [Fiji > Edit > Options > Startup…]. Copy and paste the relevant macro code into the text area. For my favourites, I have added:

run(“Brightness/Contrast…”);
run(“Channels Tool…”);
run(“Record…”);

Click [OK], close and re-start Fiji. Now you should get four windows upon start up as shown below.

Add other commands to customise the start-up collection of tools to meet the specific needs. It is possible to add the opening of sample or other images etc.
